Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. His debut album ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca, the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 was the album that brought him into Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he appeared in a duet with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a musical family, his older brother and mother are also musicians. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory part of his life. As a child was in school, he took guitar and saxophone. Although his first choice of career was becoming a vet, His brother Julian convinced him to take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the direction of his life.
