Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). She relocated to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five years old and attended an academy called the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting as well as singing. As early as age ten she was involved and played the leading role in numerous Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. After eight consistent auditions director David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It also was the film that was most popular during 2001. Opening days and weekends of sales were record-breaking. Critics have praised both the film and the performances by the three young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely, called her performance commendable. Emma later won five awards to honor her role in the movie.
