Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. The music she grew up with was classic and old boleros, along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any theatrical performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In her early career, she saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. In 2000 she moved into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. as a music teacher and musician, she is committed to many projects in the community because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation in keeping the music alive.
